To provide excellent commercially-focused legal support to the real estate teams in Northern Europe including Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden:
primarily real estate work - leasing, development, construction, project management, property and facility management, acquisition, joint venture and disposal work; and
some corporate support, finance, fund and general counsel work (ethical guidance, employment, data protection, etc.).
To control legal expenditure:
through internalization of legal work where possible; and
through the proper instruction, management and monitoring of external lawyers.
To provide operational legal support to the Region Head and to be a central part of the business decision-making process for the Northern Europe team, providing clear and practical advice and recommendations to the business;
Identifying commercial and legal risks and offering pragmatic solutions;
Ensuring compliance with the Prologis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Qualifications and experience
Professionally qualified real estate lawyer in Germany with 4 to 8 years' first class real estate and development experience gained with a leading international law firm or a real estate company;
Fluency in English and German;
The ability to inspire confidence in your work colleagues to allow you to be an integral part of the team;
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills;
A commercial attitude to the resolution of legal issues and the ability to explain complex legal issues to non-legal colleagues in simple terms;
The ability to handle a diverse range of competing requests from the business at any one time, whilst delivering high quality results.
