Be a strong sparring partner for our People Team - be involved in the whole duration of the employment process, from recruiting to off-boarding decisions.
Provide strategic advice regarding employment law to Management and People Team.
Practical advice on employment law when expanding to new countries.
Develop and implement internal practices and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations at local and international levels.
Handle employment related litigation in Germany and coordinate employment related litigation in other jurisdictions with external counsel.
Monitor thresholds in local markets in regards to employment law.
Structure, draft and review employment contract templates and clauses on an ongoing basis to be compliant with the law.
Advice on employment safety & employee health related questions.
YOU'LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory: Qualified Lawyer in Germany (Volljurist, Zweites Staatsexamen).
3+ years of professional experience gained with an international law firm or as In-House Counsel.
Experience with a broad range of national and international employment law matters.
Strong knowledge of employment law and experience with different employment models in EMEA.
Experience gained with an international focus in a dynamic environment will be substantial.
Experience in a start-up environment or In-House environment in general will be considered a plus.
Ability to provide clear legal advice on complex and sensitive issues with an appropriate sense of business judgement.
High degree of professional ethics & integrity.
First class interpersonal and communication skills, Teamplayer and motivated to experience the start-up vibe.
Mandatory fluent language skills: German & English.
