Your role:

As General Counsel EU Antitrust you will be responsible for all competition matters in Europe & UK and will advise various departments on variety of competition matters as well as lead Teva’s pending competition cases and litigations. You will act as the Legal Guardian, Business Partner and Value Creator, managing the provision of sound legal advice to ensure legal compliance in the realisation of Teva’s business objectives.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Managing all competition matters in Europe;
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable competition laws and regulations, as well as with Teva global and local policies;
  • Supporting and advising all commercial teams, management and other lawyers on variety of competition matters;
  • Providing sound and pragmatic legal advice to our IP litigation team, assisting with patent settlements and litigation strategy;
  • Leading Teva’s pending competition cases and litigations;
  • Working closely with stakeholders such as Corporate Communications, Governmental Affairs and Finance and keep them updated on any developments in pending competition cases;
  • Contributing to develop the business partner role of the entire legal group, foster creativity and entrepreneurial mind set to create opportunities for the business;
  • Managing and supporting Teva’s external legal advisers in order to ensure efficient and proper performance in line with Teva’s strategy;
  • Participating on behalf of Teva in the Competition Committee at EFPIA;
  • Serving as an active member to the European Legal Leadership team and be part of European optimization projects for the Legal department.

Your profile:

  • Law degree and preferably bar admittance in one of the EU jurisdictions;
  • 10 - 15 years antitrust experience:
    • as In-house counsel, for a region, a large affiliate or cluster of smaller markets in a multinational pharmaceutical company;
    • in private practice, (preferably) focused on competition cases in pharmaceutical industry; or
    • previous expertise across competition enforcement authorities (European Commission or national authorities).
  • Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical industry (pharmaceutical or biotech industry) and its dynamic and customer needs;
  • Basic understanding of patent litigation;
  • Excellence in execution; a strong client service orientation with the ability to respond quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead; confident decision-making skills and ability to command and influence cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated ability to articulate strategies and processes;
  • Fluency in English.
