The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously when needed and/or within a deal team context so as to be able to support the Kyndryl business, focusing on the UK and Ireland region and with occasional capability too to work across borders when required. The candidate should have a demonstrable track record of commercial and transactional legal experience in this jurisdiction and across multiple industries, notably in the financial services sector. He or she should have ten or more years PQE and be familiar with large scale IT infrastructure contracts.
The new appointee will be a key and trusted legal adviser to the company’s business leaders in the region. Key responsibilities will include negotiating, drafting and advising upon a variety of commercial arrangements, to include, in particular, outsourcing and infrastructure services and management contracts and other services contracts. Within that context the ability to negotiate issues such as intellectual property, data protection, and clauses required by financial service clients around audits, EBA resolutions is key as well as supporting other company projects as required. Disputes handling experience will also be an asset, however the role is predominantly in respect of transactional support to sales and bid teams.
Successful applicants will be bright and engaging, with demonstrable strong PQE in commercial and technology related agreements. Their experience and training must have been gained from working in a prestigious law firm or in a blue chip technology organisation. Relevant in-house experience in a multi-national organisation is desirable.
