Legal advice to business lines operating from France and/or having French clients, notably Markets and Securities Services 5MSS), Banking and Capital Markets Advisory (BCMA), Transactions and Trade Services (TTS), Global Subsidiaries Group, Global Commercial Bank, Private Banking;
Drafting and negotiation of French law contractual documentation, notably (i) derivatives and repo master agreements and clearing documentation, (ii) loan agreements (in co-ordination with external counsels as the case may be) with review of loan agreements and of any written supporting guarantees pursuant to the Citi Risk Manual, (iii) confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements (iv) TTS documentation where relevant.Assisting the Country Counsel and the senior country lawyer, and, as the case may be, regional Product Counsels, with French legal due diligence for the implementation of any new products and services;
Upon request from the Country Counsel and the senior country lawyer, producing synthetic legal memoranda on specific French legal points of interest for the Bank and the local franchise;
More generally, any French legal and regulatory questions which may have impact on Citi’s business.
Master 2 (or equivalent degree) in French law;
At least 6 months prior experience as an intern or lawyer in the banking and financial sector.
