About the Role

Here's what you'll do:

  • Support the daily activities of the legal department and the company, by reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts; providing legal advice and guidance, together with other members of the legal team, to the different departments of Typeform; and taking part in cross-company projects;
  • Support our Sales department by providing general guidance and advice, and reviewing and negotiating enterprise deals with our customers;
  • Assist the other members of the legal team in landing the legal strategy of the company, as well as in improving the risk management and the levels of compliance of Typeform. In particular, by dealing with privacy-related requests (GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws) and contracts and supporting the projects of the company in that field;
  • Contribute and work side by side with the other members of the legal team in the training and awareness activities being managed by the legal department;
  • Ensure the contractual governance of Typeform by helping the organization track the agreements it is entering into, the upcoming renewals, and the relevant provisions in said contracts;
  • Build relationships with peers in other departments, ensuring appropriate communication channels to support the success of the assigned tasks.

About You

Here's what we are after:

  • At least 4 years of working experience;
  • Experience in commercial and corporate law, as well as negotiating and drafting a wide range of legal documents (e.g. collaboration agreements, license agreements, NDAs, etc.);
  • Admitted to practice law in Spain/Europe;
  • Tech savvy;
  • Curiosity for IT-related stuff;
  • Active, can-do and ‘chase-to-solve’ attitude;
  • Fluent in English and legal English;
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to adapt to change;
  • Good Solid oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey clear, concise, unambiguous, user-oriented messages;
  • Approachable and friendly;
  • Law degree by an accredited European/US college.

It'd be amazing if you also have:

  • Prior in-house lawyer and SaaS experience will be considered;
  • Familiarity with other areas of expertise (such as labor, administrative, or privacy law), or other legal systems (US) will be considered;
  • International background/experience;
  • Understanding of privacy laws in Europe and US;
  • Compliance experience.
