What You Will Do

We are looking for a committed, creative-thinking commercial lawyer to join our team as Corporate Counsel supporting Cisco's Global Service Provider business in Germany.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to the business related to named Service Providers in Germany and Europe
  • Give accurate, timely advice to Cisco senior management and other functions on specific contractual provisions and general legal matters coming to your attention with an understanding of Cisco’s overall strategy
  • Draft and negotiate legal agreements covering the Cisco business under your responsibility (sales and licensing agreements, channel partner/pricing letters, RFP/RFI support, non-disclosure agreements, IP and DP agreements, services agreements, etc)
  • Support, coordinate and secure sales contract negotiations with business-centric, flexible attitude, collaborative spirit and eagle eye for detail
  • Consistently apply Cisco legal policies and best business practices to maintain the highest possible standards of corporate governance
  • Engage in cross-functional projects
  • Pro-actively provide and support training

Who You Are

Your Minimum Qualifications:

  • You have at least 5 years of commercial and corporate experience obtained at a top law firm practice, or multinational corporate legal department
  • You have excellent written and verbal skills in English and German; fluency in other European languages will be considered a plus

Your Professional Experience:

  • Knowledge of and experience with technology contract issues including intellectual property, software licensing, managed services, cloud, data protection, including negotiating GDPR agreements, and security
  • Familiarity with technology product sales go-to-market models, distribution agreements, resale agreements, services sales etc.
  • Experience with providing legal advice across a multi-jurisdictional region in Europe
  • Experience handling competition and antitrust legal issues in the context of the operations of a multinational corporation
  • Experience in dealing and contracting with public/state-run entities would be a plus

  • Have well-developed organizational abilities allowing for the calm, smooth and simultaneous management of multiple projects with complex and demanding deadlines
