We are looking to hire a Senior Employment Counsel to provide proactive strategic legal support to the People & Culture team who is in charge of recruitment, employment and talent retention in all of our 40+ markets.

You will be part of HQ Legal Team and become the go-to-lawyer when it comes to legal issues and challenges faced by the People & Culture team.

You will use strong business acumen to deal with legal, regulatory and compliance risks, and help People & Culture team to scale and mature in a growing number of markets within the EU and outside.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Becoming a member of the extended leadership team of People & Culture by contributing with strategic legal counselling on how to best manage full spectrum of recruitment, employment and talent retention challenges in an increasingly global multicultural organisation
  • Establishing and taking the ownership of global employment law compliance program to capture changes in employment laws so that we stay ahead of the curve and keep playing by the rules
  • Designing, overseeing and improving People & Culture's legal services model through efficient engagement of external counsels, in-house Global Legal Field team and other parts of Legal, Risk & Procurement
  • Being the key contributor to development of global employee lifecycle template, process, records and know-how management framework to achieve constant improvement of knowledge sharing and self-service capabilities within and beyond People & Culture team
  • Defining, drafting and keeping up to date with our global set of employment policies, and providing oversight and advice to maximise global consistency in how we apply them
  • Providing oversight and advice on how to manage employment disputes, disciplinary proceedings and investigations of employee misconduct
  • Supporting People & Culture team in contracting their strategic suppliers
  • Identifying the need for external legal advice and engaging outside counsel in strategic legal issues and projects of People & Culture team
  • Identifying and addressing legal training needs of People & Culture team and our global employee base (including equality and diversity, anti-corruption, anti-harassment, conflicts of interest, and ethics matters)

We are looking for:

  • Master of Laws degree from a reputable university in the EU
  • You have 10+ years of experience at a law firm and/or an international company
  • 5+ years of experience in providing hands-on legal support and advice in the field of employment law
  • You are preferably well at home with privacy, legal technology and operations, and with employment law aspects of the gig economy
  • You are independent, proactive, creative, collaborative with can-do attitude
  • You are organised. You deliver your work on time
