Legal Counsel (UK&I Transactions)

For its location in Sofia, Bulgaria, DXC is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Legal Counsel (UK&I Transactions), who will be part of the legal team primarily supporting DXC’s new business transactions with DXC’s end-customers within the UK and Ireland region. The primary role will be to provide legal advice, negotiate and internally govern contracts with minimum supervision in the IT services industry.
Daily challenges
- Provide legal advice to business stakeholders, including by negotiating, analyzing, drafting and reviewing IT contracts with respect to complex contracting and commercial activities;
- Working closely with DXC's pursuit teams on RFPs and new business opportunities;
- Guiding DXC's managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations;
- Structuring, drafting and reviewing reports and other legal documents;
- Develop DXC's positions on various legal matters;
- Work as a leveraged member of a global legal team;
- Ability to work primarily from home, with no immediate oversight by the line-manager.
eXperience and skills required
- Master`s degree in Law; a bachelor’s and/or a master’s degree obtained in the UK and/or the Republic of Ireland would be considered an advantage;
- Fluency in English language is a must (level C1 or C2 or equivalent level proving fully professional fluency);
- 2-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a global cross-functional team environment within an IT company or a law firm with practice on IT contracts will be considered an advantage;
- Strong understanding of the major contractual and commercial elements of IT/outsourcing services agreements and/or software licensing agreements (e.g., services, service levels, pricing concepts, payment provisions, high-risk terms affecting performance and/or payment, security requirements,) shall be considered an advantage;
- Strong legal and commercial reasoning capacity, as well as teamwork abilities and commitment.
