We seek a seasoned legal professional who is passionate about delivering value and possesses the maturity to prioritise and execute effectively. In this role, you will take ownership of cross-functional projects, leveraging your extensive expertise across various legal domains to ensure compliance and the timely delivery of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve a broad and impactful set of responsibilities, including:

  • Projects: Take full ownership and leadership of complex cross-functional projects across the EU, US, and other jurisdictions. This includes coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, timely execution, and successful outcomes for initiatives such as market entry and expansion, cross-border transactions, corporate reorganisations and global hiring efforts;
  • Business Solution: Deliver value-driven legal and business solutions, focusing on optimising operations in the EU and US. Contribute to the growth and scalability of the business by advising on key initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational improvement, and aligning legal strategies with business objectives;
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage the company’s risk and liability by identifying and mitigating potential legal issues. Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments, implementing necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance while maintaining a practical, business-oriented approach;
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and external partners, ensuring alignment on strategic goals and fostering collaboration across teams. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that drive business growth and resilience.

Required skills

  • English solicitor or a lawyer qualified in a country within the European Economic Area (and/or a proven track record of successfully leading projects across the EU and US);
  • A minimum of 8 years PQE in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at the headquarters of an international corporation, with a strong focus on corporate/commercial matters in a global corporate environment;
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects within an international setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities involved;
  • Ability to provide expert, business-centric advice to the company and its management;
  • An exceptional communicator and confident negotiator with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex legal concepts for non-lawyer team members;
  • Fluency in English at a minimum C1 level and professional experience working in English.
