YGP is hiring an environmental, health and safety (EHS) consultant to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role will suit a candidate who seeks the value and challenges in EHS profession. For senior-level EHS experts, YGP may have flexibility on the work location after initial on-the-job traininng in Brussels, Belgium. YGP has strong internal and network of EHS experts to serve global companies. By joining YGP Team, you would meet a company that faces and solves challenging real-work EHS issues for clients. On a day-by-day basis, YGP clients are facing complex and global regulatory issues involvng EHS and need to solve them ASAP. To support our clients, YGP runs comprehensive EHS solutions and services including corporate EHS strategy, implementing EHS management systems, EHS compliance audit, and various inhouse EHS software solutions.

Ideal Candidates & Positions

A candidate should have a client-oriented approach and is an excellent communicator verbally and in writing. Previous relevant experience in EHS will be an advantage, but in any case, specific, hands on, training will be provided.

You are interested in the technical side of corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Management and also in corporate EHS Market and Performance Analysis. As an independent and self-starter, you have good judgement and the initiative to build your own EHS expertise, relationship and collaborating with stakeholders. A degree in law, engineering, safety, science, or related discipline would be beneficial. We are looking for any combination of the following positions:

  • Spanish: 1 consultant;
  • US: 1 consultant.

The Role

The EHS Consultant will be responsible for (a) creating EHS regulatory data, (b) managing EHS projects meeting client needs and qualification criteria, (c) being a subject matter expert in EHS for his/her jurisdictions, and (d) being a good team player. Prior experience in Environmental, Health & Safety is not a must.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Learn and meet all YGP polices & principles and client requirements;
  • Create EHS regulatory data for core jurisdictions;
  • Provide technical EHS assistance to clients;
  • Keep positive attitute in team work and acheive EHS performance excellence;
  • Manage projects considering the scope, budget and deadline;
  • Deliver high quality project works under the supervision and with the support of subject matter experts;
  • Cooperate internal and external workforce to manage and deliver projects effectively;
  • As you grow, lead consulting projects across the range of EHS projects and deliver excellent value and quality service;
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with YGP employees and network consultants;
  • Coach and mentor junior staff in their tasks;
  • Build own business relationships to generate new business opportunities.
