Objective

This online conference will discuss recent developments in the field of family law, and especially the interaction between family law and human rights.

It will focus on the most recent case law of the European Court on Human Rights (ECtHR) on the following issues

• Marriage and parenthood, including same-sex parenthood and trans-parenthood;
• Foster care and adoption;
• Surrogacy and parentage;
• Child abduction and the hearing of the child;
• Gender self-determination and civil status.
