We are seeking an experienced senior legal counsel with a track record of working within high performing teams in a complex environment. You will play an active role working very closely with colleagues throughout the entire organization to innovate our capabilities, lead a team of senior legal counsels and support/substitute the General Counsel.

Your tasks:

• Lead and organize the team by setting guidelines and ensure an active cooperation within the team;
• Providing efficient, timely, pragmatic, and business-focused independent legal advice for a wide range of legal topics, including but not limited to M&A projects, international trading corporate law and competition law matters;
• Supporting the group’s growth by taking responsibility for legal topics in the context of mergers and acquisitions as well as joint ventures in interdisciplinary teams;
• Autonomously drafting, reviewing, and negotiating all kinds of commercial and corporate contracts;
• Identification of legal and compliance risks and advising the business of how to avoid/mitigate any such risks;
• Hold trainings for a variety of people;
• Substitute the General Counsel during vacation time, etc.

Your skils:

• A qualified lawyer from a common law jurisdiction and ideally comprehensive work experience (post-qualified) in an international legal environment;
• Profound expertise in the drafting, negotiating, and managing different kinds of contracts and M&A projects;
• Sound experience in international commerce, corporate and competition law matters;
• English native speaker or excellent level of business English (written and spoken); good German skills would be an advantage;
• Experience in leading a team of legal counsels;
• Self-Motivated and energetic, with the ability to work independently, but at the same time to communicate and to lead a team of legal professionals.
