Lead Counsel, Ad Sales Legal Responsibilities
- Serve as a frontline legal advisor for Sales teams supporting advertiser inquiries and concerns related to Meta's business and advertising products
- Provide Sales with ongoing support for ads products – including developing scalable trainings, guidance notes and other resources
- Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
- Provide input to cross-functional teams related to advertiser's legal issues relating to business products and policies
- Coordinate with public policy and communications colleagues on external communications, policy development, and enforcement decisions
- Think globally and help legal teams understand how requirements in different jurisdictions impact advertisers and fit into the broader picture.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Law
- 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing Solicitor (including at a law firm or in-house experience)
- Knowledge of legal frameworks that apply to data-driven advertising
- Experience advising on legal and regulatory issues (including privacy) that apply to online advertising, mobile platforms, social networking, or other technologies
- Experience with managing legal risk across multiple jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with mobile application development, software development, machine learning, or other internet technologies
- Prior in-house experience
- Experience of advancing simultaneous projects in a multi-stakeholder, fast-pace environment
- Experience of collaborating at all levels of the business including executive and C-suite
