Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in business law, ideally supplemented by a degree in higher legal studies abroad and/or commercial training at a business school or equivalent. Knowledge of and/or interest in French and European banking law is a plus;
  • At least 6 years' experience in a company and/or law firm with expertise in contractual negotiation in the industrial sector;
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of Common law is a plus.

Activities

In line with TotalEnergies' ambition and the M&S Division's roadmap, you will manage legal affairs relating to a diverse range of activities encompassing the business units (1) Aviation (France), (2) New Mobility and Marketing (notably, mobility solutions including fuel and electric vehicle cards) and (3) Bitumen (Worldwide).

You will work on their behalf in all the geographical areas in which the M&S Division is active, particularly the marketing subsidiaries in Europe, with whom you will provide regular follow-up.

As an International Business Lawyer, you will be responsible in particular for the following tasks (France and International):

  • Assisting subsidiaries and business units with their business development and partnerships;
  • Drafting and negotiating contractual agreements (purchase and sale of products, distribution, partnerships, digital developments, etc.): your mastery of contractual practice will enable you to propose and implement effective and innovative arrangements;
  • Ensuring legal certainty, advising, monitoring compliance with regulations, sounding the alarm and proposing appropriate solutions;
  • Working with the management committees of the business units you are assisting in all areas of business law;
  • Developing and implementing training and awareness-raising initiatives for the entities you monitor;
  • Working with experienced lawyers in the team and the Legal Department to deliver legal analyses, contracts, handle disputes and manage litigation.
