Your field of responsibility

An outstanding opportunity to join us as a Senior Regulatory and Data Protection Specialist in the Credit Suisse Data Protection Office with responsibility to ensure that the organization aligns with all relevant privacy legislations across all regions.

In this position, you will be responsible for reviews of internal and external data processing activities with respect to data privacy, banking secrecy and outsourcing regulations. You will support and guide project teams on the implementation of regulatory requirements for upcoming projects and initiatives. You will be also involved in Data Protection Impact Assessments and reviews of data privacy elements of internal solutions. Monitoring of privacy legislations, industry development as well as continuous improvement of knowledge round up the role requirements.

You will liaise on a regular basis with other members of the global Data Protection Office team, stakeholders in General Counsel, as well as with internal business stakeholders/partners from different functions and departments (incl. Front Office, Technology, Risk and Data Analytics) in order to provide advice on all aspects of data protection and banking secrecy requirements and support by the process flow.

You will lead a team of data protection specialists at the same location and/or elsewhere.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for an individual with below skill-set:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law or Administration (CIPP Certification is an advantage)
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Legal and Compliance environment
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment in the financial and Fintech industry; understanding of data privacy, privacy and banking secrecy rules desired
  • Proven project management knowledge and strong analytical skills (incl. ability to assess process elements and requirements in line with existing legal and business framework)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skill-set, ability to manage various stakeholders in parallel and drive to take up additional responsibilities
  • People management skills; line management experience is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools required for project management skills (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Outstanding communication skills. Business proficiency in English, other languages are a big plus
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
