The job of the Leading In-House Counsel for Citco Global Subsidiary Governance Services “GSGS” is to lead the team of in house lawyers whose primary focus is contract work. That work covers contractual relations with clients and suppliers and involves elements of compliance and corporate legal work.

Your Role:

  • You will lead the Citco GSGS client and business partner contract team located in Vilnius, Mauritius and Manila;
  • You will be responsible for preparation and negotiation of non-standard, complex contractual documentation, both for existing and prospect clients;
  • You will ensure maintenance of contractual documents in accordance with Citco procedures;
  • You will act as the point of contact within Citco GSGS for internal stakeholders, including Group General Counsel, business development team, Managing Directors of other Citco offices, members of the Leadership team, Group Legal and Risk Management;
  • You will be the primary Citco GSGS contact in contract negotiations with prospect clients and business partners;
  • You will provide coaching, mentoring and training to the in house legal team;
  • You will provide advice to Proposals team on contractual matters, as well as develop procedures and procedural documents;
  • You will be the Privacy Liaison for Citco GSGS and cooperate with Group Privacy team to ensure adherence to Data Protection requirements by Citco GSGS;
  • You will provide advice and guidance to Citco GSGS Client Servicing staff on various legal, contractual and compliance-related matters;
  • Other ad hoc projects as required.

About You:

  • You are a Qualified Lawyer with a 5-10 years PQE and a strong working knowledge of corporate/business-to-business contracts;
  • You have a proven track record in contract law including, inter alia, corporate/business-to-business contracts, drafting & negotiation;
  • You have a demonstrated ability to lead a team of lawyers, formulate conclusions and present them to business leadership;
  • You have a high level of English language skills that enables you to draft, review and negotiate in that language with authority;
  • You have experience working in public practice or in-house for a multinational organization;
  • You have the flexibility to work with clients in multiple time-zones and from different legal frameworks.
