Responsible for delivery and administration of legal services to ensure the issues of risk and governance are aligned to company goals and to ensure that legal arrangements are advantageous to the company. Advise management and business owners on legal issues and involved in contracts modelling, drafting, administration and negotiation.
CORE TASKS INCLUDE
- Negotiate IT contracts (licence agreements, Cloud Services Agreement and Professional Services Agreements);
- Analyses risk and counsels business;
- Ensures the company's position in legal arrangements is as advantageous to company as possible, within the confines of management philosophy;
- Support local and regional projects and seeks way to simplify SAP and the Legal department’s processes;
- Ensures company personnel are aware of and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Provides a full range of senior level legal counsel and solutions to company LOB's and internal functions. Lead in drafting, negotiating complex transactions. Participates as a senior member of cross functional teams providing legal counsel to assigned LOBs and practice areas.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Area 1: Provide senior legal services;
- Area 2: Support Public Sector deals and the adoption of Public Sector framework agreements by SAP;
- Area 3: Provide legal counsel to LOB's and internal functions;
- Area 4: Assess and explain complex Legal concepts to senior executives.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years of legal experience.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Graduation from accredited law school, further graduation may count as Experience (depending on local differences);
- Extensive knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and associated frameworks is essential;
- Experience in complex negotiations with public sector customers;
- In-depth knowledge of cyber-security and data protection regulations;
- Licensed to practice law in the appropriate jurisdiction;
- English: Fluent – Expert, German: preferred;
